The free2b from the t.bone is a wireless transmission system comprising a transmitter and a receiver - both of them scarcely larger than a conventional XLR connector - that allows users to transform their dynamic microphone into a wireless mic and even transmit line-level signals without breaking the bank. Admittedly, professional functions such as infrared synchronisation and squelch are lacking here, but on the plus side, the free2b can be used free of charge and without registration. The scope of delivery additionally includes a split charging cable, which allows the batteries of both transmitter and receiver to be charged simultaneously from a single USB socket, a mobile shoe adapter, and an adapter cable from XLR to 3.5mm mini-jack.

Ik heb deze set enkele keren voor live zangoptredens gebruikt in een centerparks. ondanks dat er geregeld wat volk was, had ik prima bereik.

- Je kan uit 6 verschillende kanalen kiezen en dus voorkomen dat je met storingen zit op het signaal.
- De behuizing kan wel wat hebben en geraakt niet los van de microfoon als er veel mee bewogen wordt.
- Het indoor bereik van 30m klopt en heb er ook geen problemen mee gehad als de artietsen tussen het volk liepen.
- De accu opladen werkt handig via de meegeleverde kabel en gaat ook lang mee voor optredens. Het langste dat ik hem gebruikt had was ongeveer 3 tot 4 uur op een hele avond.

Het enige minpuntje is dat soms een artiest per ongeluk van kanaal kan wisselen als die niet op voorhand weet om van die knop af te blijven.

Een prima betaalbare manier om draadloos te kunnen gaan. Persoonlijk hoor ik geen ruis of opvallende vertraging. Stevig omhulsel. Plug and play werkt goed en is handig. Waarom geen 5 sterren? Ik neem regelmatig video's op en wil dan niet een felle blauwe verlichting (signaal dat ie is verbonden met ontvanger) in beeld. Soms begrijp ik producenten niet of moet de mic hierdoor opvallen?. De redelijk signaal kleurverlichting komt goedkoop over als je een wat chiquere uitstraling op het podium of video's wenst. Met wat duct tape is overigens veel te camoufleren (-: Maar controle lampjes zouden veel minder opzichtig moeten zijn, is mijn mening.

Het is fijn dat het apparaat op digitale bandbreedte werkt. Alleen de ruis die het genereert vond ik te overheersend voor gebruik als spreek - en lichte muziek toepassing.
